Additional Thoughts: While the book might start out feeling like a more light-hearted romp into space, I should probably forewarn you that this is not really accurate. There is pain in this book, and Cherijo goes through a lot. A LOT. I was nearly in tears at the end. There is one scene in particular that seemingly comes out of nowhere and feels icky…but please trust me when I say everything happens for a reason.
I feel like Yoda. See, you shall, after reading the book. Verdict: Definitely a keeper. Buy it! Thea James is half of the maniacal book review duo behind The Book Smugglers. Hey zeek, I just found out that Lynn Viehl is S. And Stardoc is great—definitely get back in and read the next books! Word is Ms. Viehl plans on finishing up with 10 books.
You can check out some excerpts from books 8 and 9 at her blog I believe they are being published later this year! Thanks for recommending this series. It sounds really good. I bought this book back when I heard so many good reviews of her Darkyn series written as Lynn Viehl.
I tend to stay away from vampire books, but this sci fi series sounded interesting.

Review: This is one of those books you finish, and immediately haul your ass back to the bookstore to find volume 2 and 3, and so on. In an insanely addictive, GOOD way. Science Fiction.
