Number one, they may not be important enough to me to do so why have them there, number two, they may be important enough to do but need to have a more realistic stated time frame, or three, just do it and do it now. Make a commitment and make that the priority. Such as ideas for our book launch and tour or things I want to do with Spin Sucks Pro after we reach a certain subscriber level. On the flip side, though, if something has been on my to-do list for a few weeks, I either delegate it or get it off my list.

Getting stuff off the list is important. I often find when I delegate something that has been on my list for some time… that it probably could have been delegated earlier. Which leads me to wonder if I was the one holding up the task? Just a thought I had recently about productivity flow in the workplace… maybe an upcoming blog post. Thanks for this!

What goes on a Someday Maybe list?

The quaint city of Jubilant was a refreshing change, as so many African-American novels are set in urban cities. I can see why Rachelle made the journey there. It made me want to sell my house and move to place where life felt simpler. I have a list of goals and I have timelines to complete them. The Someday List made me think about myself and my life. The life lessons were hard to miss.

So I give this book the highest review I can assign, because not only did I enjoy it, I was challenged. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who feels the same. May 20, Natasha B rated it really liked it. This was a really good book! Wanted to stand up and clap at the end! I like the way the author tied real problems that ALL people, even Christians, face in everyday life.

None of the characters were perfect, but by God's grace, were overcomers, allowing God to pull down strongholds in their lives. If we were really real with others about what we go through, there would be a great move of healing - spiritually, physically, and mentally. Great, inspiring read! View 1 comment.

As with all inspirationals there's a religious message woven throughout this story, it's just not as subtle as in others in this category. That means if obvious references to God and scripture bothers you, this book definitely isn't for you.

Daybook - My GTD Someday Maybe List

Anyway, back to the book The life of our main character, Rachelle, is in crisis. Her marriage is falling apart because she's dissatisfied with her life and her husband's cheating. I really wasn't certain how the author was going to resolve her problems. Th As with all inspirationals there's a religious message woven throughout this story, it's just not as subtle as in others in this category.

That unfortunately is only the beginning of my unhappiness with this book I hated the ending During their time apart, Rachelle and her husband went through many changes of the heart and when he returned to the country, they agreed to meet and talk The End. I would have much preferred the book be a little longer so we saw the marriage being put back together, and how God worked through them as a couple. There was even talk of going on a mission trip together but that was just another dropped thread. Other niggles Oh and there are few details on what caused the rift in Rachelle's marriage.

I would have appreciated a little background aside from her husband being a good provider but emotionally distant because after the learning of her daily activities And I forgot to mention that she's an adult who allowed her parent's to bully her into a divorce while in college and they still bully her. She has no backbone.

I'd hoped to find out more information about this couple in the next book but that wasn't to be. The time interval jumps six years and follows another family member. So, because of all the niggles, dropped thread and the abrupt ending, I won't be reading the rest in the series.

It's too bad, since it has potential but the follow through just wasn't there for me. May 10, Nadine Keels rated it really liked it. Apart from her heart surgeon husband, two young children she loves, and her rather privileged lifestyle, Rachelle Covington isn't exactly sure who she is or what she truly wants for herself.

The Someday List (Jubilant Soul Series #1)

I can tell how much I'm enjoying a novel when, at some point or another, I hear myself as I read: hear myself laughing, hear myself gasping, hear myself talking back to a character who needs to catch a clue. In this case, a number of points during the reading were punctuated with an audible " Mm " from me as Rachelle's situation incited my interest, my reasoning, my emotions. The story deals with some hard, real, messy issues without being "messy" about it but also without sugarcoating it all for faith's sake—the strong faith theme notwithstanding.

Now, while I could feel for Rachelle and a good handful of the other characters, there was one key character who didn't quite have me convinced. When an antagonist is headed for a change down the road, that character is most intriguing when he or she doesn't seem "bad" just for the sake of it, when there's a little deeper dimension to who the character really is and why. This story's "villain" didn't intrigue me that way, so his portion of the plot eventually fell a bit flat to me. Still, this novel kept me invested from the first page to the last, and I deem it a worthwhile pick for other fans of contemporary Christian Fiction.

Good book. I just didn't like the way it ended. What do you do when your husband takes you for granted and often seems to ignore you and your feelings? What do you do when you run across your 1st husband who you divorced but "know" you still have feelings for?

How do you confront the fact you seem to have lost who you are versus your roles as wife, mother, daughter and friend? Rachelle has to answer all these questions and more quickly. Her BFF makes her confront her mortality and the distance she has put between her and her faith. When she returns home to Jubilant and her past, she realizes she has to make some choices or pass on bad habits and have another failed marriage. First time reading this author, but will not be my last. Great read for those facing crossroads and hard choices Jul 22, Michelle Oladapo rated it it was ok. Interesting story about finding God in the midst trials; faith and forgiveness. I'd prefer it if the gospel was presented more explicitly, if at all, especially since the book talked slot about how to become a Christian.

However very good story line that had me eager to read more, which is probably why I read it so quickly. Would I recommend? Probably not, as I feel it would confuse some people regarding how one comes to Christ. Computer for all the tasks that you have to complete at your computer.
